Annual Report

President's Message

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Education and Work, I am pleased to present the Annual Report for the fiscal year 2007- 2008.

The CEW continues to explore and develop creative interventions in connecting the workplace to learning. Our products and services provide innovative solutions for new areas of learning. In particular, our new Multimedia and Guided Learning Experiences (magle) system will allow us to develop new courses in an exciting framework for adult learners.

We have widened our partnerships with industry and post-secondary education in our current projects. We will broaden these even further in the future. We continue to diversify our funding sources and target new areas for growth.

We are particularly grateful to all of those who contributed time and energy to the work of the CEW.

Business Overview

The Centre for Education and Work (CEW) is a not-for profit organization. We are entirely project-based and develop creative and innovative responses to identified needs in the adult learning field. The CEW recently completed its seventh year of operations. The organization continues to gain national and international respect for its leadership in workplace education, and adult literacy/Essential Skills work, prior learning assessment and recognition, and work-based certification.
